Corporate Malaysia’s journey towards a sustainable supply chain

Investing in supply chain sustainability can be a new growth lever for Malaysia as it bolsters its position as the preferred investment hub in the region. Malaysian public-listed companies are the key players in propelling the nation’s sustainable supply chain agenda.

Corporate Malaysia’s journey towards a sustainable supply chain‘, a research publication by Capital Markets Malaysia (CMM) in collaboration with PwC Malaysia explores how Malaysian companies are adopting supply chain sustainability amidst greater calls to pursue a just transition towards a low carbon economy. The supply chain disclosures of Bursa Malaysia’s Top 100 companies (by market capitalisation) are assessed against PwC’s Sustainable Supply Chain checklist which was carried out to develop this report.

The publication provides companies some food for thought on what strengthening sustainability within the supply chain could look like, including investing in data to enhance performance management and collaborating with peers, joint action networks, regulators and standard setters for impact.
